Conversations with Jesus

… trying to figure out what Jesus would do …

Finding Jesus

Posted by rockfrompelt on November 21, 2008

Finding Jesus is not hard. Why? Because Jesus isn’t hiding.

For some people, the sky is the limit. If you know Jesus, there is no limit.

For some people, thinking outside the box is being creative. For Jesus… there is no inside or outside of the box. With Jesus, there is no box and no constraints.

If you want a fuller, more dynamic life … Jesus is the answer. There is no reason to be afraid or ashamed to ask Jesus for help. Jesus helps EVERYONE who asks.

Jesus accepts everyone who wants Him in his or her life. Whatever you are struggling with, whatever your past may be, Jesus has seen it all. You are not different or original in your concerns.

Nothing is too big for Jesus to forgive. Murder, pride, lies, workaholic, addiction, bad credit, sexual immorality, stealing, drugs, homosexuality, adultery, alcoholism, racism, greed, pornography, abuse, anger, divorce, hatred, betrayal, violence, etc, etc …

Jesus already knows everything about you. Jesus already knows everything you have done wrong and done right. Jesus loves you anyway.

Jesus came from Heaven to earth, and then Jesus died on the cross so ALL your sins can be washed away. Jesus does not discriminate: black, white, red, yellow… weak, strong … rich, poor… sick, healthy … young, old … unemployed … Jesus is real, and Jesus loves you.

Don’t believe me? Just ask Jesus.

How do you find Jesus? How do you start having conversations with a man who died on a cross, but then rose again? There is no money involved, because God doesn’t need your money.

Tithing and good works do not get you into Heaven. Only by the grace of God can you enter through the gates of Heaven.

You don’t need to wait. You can do it right now. To begin your own dynamic life with Jesus, to begin seeing the world as Jesus sees it, to begin seeing people the way Jesus sees them, to accept your promise of Heaven … all you have to do is say a simple prayer.

If you understand that you are a sinner and in need of salvation through Jesus Christ, here is a prayer you can pray to God:

“Dear God, I know I have sinned. I know that I deserve the conesquences of sin. However I believe Jesus Christ, the Son of God, can save me. I believe Jesus died on the cross and rose again so that ALL my sins can be forgiven. I believe Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, and I want Jesus to lead my life. Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me. Amen.”

If you said this prayer and meant it in your heart, you have declared to God that you are letting Jesus be the leader of your life. There are no good works and no amount of money you can give to buy God’s favor or to get into Heaven. It is only through faith in Jesus Christ.

Jesus is an agent of change, so get ready for Jesus to change your life. How can you have a more dynamic relationship with Jesus?

Five Steps to a deeper relationship with Jesus:

Step One: If you said the prayer listed above and meant it, then you have already done the most important step. Heaven is exclusive… but if you know Jesus, you’re in. More importantly, you cannot lose your salvation. Your reservation in Heaven cannot be cancelled for any reason.

Step Two: Tell a friend about your commitment to Jesus.

Step Three: Get a bible and start reading it.

Step Four: Join a church and/or bible study. Everyone is different, so shop around until you find a church and/or bible study that you feel comfortable with.

Step Five: Pray with an open heart. This means, you set no limitations… and you are open to whatever Jesus asks of you. Pray every day.

** Did you notice none of these steps required money? Yes, salvation is free. If you decide to tithe, that is your own decision. But God only wants a cheerful giver, so pray first about whatever you give to your local church. Giving is not always money. It can be time. During these tough economic times, don’t over-extend yourself financially unless you feel God’s peace about it. **
