Conversations with Jesus

… trying to figure out what Jesus would do …

Black Friday Deals

2008, Black Friday approaches. The busiest shopping day of the year.

As you prepare for this day, rembmer:

  • When you have no money and are feeling cranky because you have been up since 3 a.m., please budget enough money to tip your waiter at lunch. If you can’t be nice, then be fake nice.
  • Pray about how much to spend. I realize you want to get your children or loved ones great gifts… but don’t put yourself in any financial jeopardy.
  • If you have some extra money, remember there are more people struggling this year than in previous years… try to give to the Salvation Army bell ringers or other charities in your neighborhood
  • Stay safe. Every year now, it seems someone gets trampled at a store… be safe, watch out for knees and elbows.
  • For many workers, this is the most stressful day of the year. Try to share a little Jesus with people you meet (even if it means being fake nice).
  • If you find yourself fighting over the last toy … ask yourself, what would Jesus do? (remember, asking yourself “what would Jesus have done?”is not as timely as “what would Jesus do?”)

I wish you a wonderful Holiday Season. If you enjoy this blog, please subscribe and also tell your friends. Thank you so much for reading.
